Formed in 1907, Adelaide University Cricket Club ("AUCC") has a proud history as one of the longest established Clubs of the South Australian Cricket Association ("SACA"), the highest level of cricket in SA. With over 130 active members, it is one of the largest Senior Clubs in SA.
AUCC also has four teams in the Adelaide Turf Cricket Competition ("ATCA") and fields a Women's SACA 2nd grade team. Accordingly, there are opportunities for players of all levels to play at a standard appropriate to their ability and ambition. All games are played on turf wickets based on or around the beautiful University Oval.
Each year AUCC players and AU students represent the Vice Chancellor's XI in intervarsity (IV) matches against other Universities. AUCC also participates in IV tournaments such as the Uni Games T20 and UQCC Preseason One Day tournament.
Central to AUCC principles is to offer the best coaching and practice facilities in South Australia. In 2016/17, our coaching structure is as follows: Cameron Borgas (1st/2nd grade), Ben Hilliard (3rd/4th grade), Ashley Woodcock (Technical director), Brad Newton (Preseason/S&C) and Rob O'Shannassy (ATCA development).
Further, AUCC has an Administration officer positioned at the AU Sport offices on campus. As a result of the above measures, AUCC is extremely confident that any player will have the support and assistance to enable him to reach their full potential.
Please note, you do not have to be an Adelaide University student to play for AUCC. We encourage players of all backgrounds and age.
