Q. When is the trip?

A. 14th - 21st July 2018. (Third week of mid-year uni holidays)

Q. Where is the trip?

A. Planning is still in progress for 2018. It will be in Victoria however options to move the trip from Mt Hotham to elsewhere are currently being explored. Updates will be provided ASAP. Please contact us if you have questions or comments regarding the location of the trip.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Membership to the club is $15. The trip cost is likely to range between $1500 - $1800. The final cost of the trip depends on many variables and the cost will be announced soon (early-mid March). As a committee we want to stress that we do our very best to find the cheapest and best options to suit a trip of such a nature. Unfortunately rising costs on the snow fields are clearly out of our control and we hope you can understand that the price of a trip from 2+ years would be impossible to ascertain today. 

Q. What is included in the trip cost?

  • Transportation to and from the mountain (bus)
  • 5 nights accomodation
  • Breakfast and dinner
  • Lessons from qualified ski instructors on the mountain
  • Lift passes
  • Ski and snowboard hire
  • Themed nights + parties and activities on the mountain
  • Life long friends you will definitely make!

Q. How do I become a member?

A. Click 'Join or Renew' at the top of this page. Please note the difference between 'student' and 'non-student' memberships, 'student' refers to those currently enrolled at The University of Adelaide. 'Non-student' refers to non-uni students or students from other universities. 

Q. Can I come on the trip if I am NOT a student at Adelaide Uni or don't go to Uni?

A. Yes! We have many non-students join us. An extra insurance fee must be paid by non-students through purchasing an Adelaide University Sports Association membership (AU Sport) which is $88. This is necessary to cover you for any injuries or other incidents that may occur on the trip. 

Q. What if I have to take a supplementary exam?

A. This is fine as long as you tell us as soon as the results are known. We will refund the amount paid minus the deposit fee of $100.

Q. What happens if I change my mind?

A. If you change your mind you must give us enough notice, as we deem suitable, and we can only give you a refund if we find someone to replace you.

Q. What happens if I have dietary requirements?

A. You will be prompted to fill out a medical form when purchasing your trip deposit, please fill in the necessary sections that relate to your requirements.

Q. Can I ski and snowboard on the trip?

A. Yes, we want you to get the most out of your trip! There may be an extra swap over fee which you will need to pay yourself to the hiring company on the mountain. It is usually a small fee and we can provide a definite cost closer to the trip.

Q. What is the 'Early Bird' special?

A. The first FIVE members to pay their trip in FULL receive a discount of $100. This will be refunded after payment is received.
