If you have ever wondered what a referees' hand straight up in the air or anything in between means at a judo competition, this is the event for you.
This seminar will introduce the fundamental rules governing the sport as well as adaptations for the current play style. It is highly encouraged for players interested in competition to attend this session, even if they have done so in the past, because we all know how rules adapt through time. For example what was once allowed may now be considered a penalty, and how scores are obtained and matches won may also have changed.
Players intending to grade to Sho Dan (Black Belt) are especially encouraged to attend as a current referee's course is a prerequisite when applying for grading.
