Winning a grant is a great way to help a unique project or program that a Club is wanting to get off the ground.
The Adelaide University Cricket Club is reaping the rewards of successfully gaining a grant from SACA to support the development of women’s Cricket by running a T20 Blast competition.
The AU Swimming Club is looking at introducing a Learn to Swim program with thanks to the Club of the Year grant that the club won last year.
Winning a grant can provide great excitement and a morale boost for those behind the scenes of a club. It proves to them that all the volunteer hours they invest into their club is paying off.
There are currently a number of grant programs that AU Sport Clubs can apply for:
AU Sport Grant Program
AU Sport provides a total of $152,000 funding support to our clubs via our grant programs. Grants like Recurrent, Venue hire, Capital equipment, Club Development and Elite Sport help our clubs be the best that they can be. Clubs are reminded that the first round of Grants close 9 March.
Adelaide City Council
The City of Adelaide Recreation & Sport Grants Program is now open for the remainder of 2017/18. Visit their webpage for further information and ensure you contact Tom Beales (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Julia Wallace (email@example.com) before submitting an application. All applications must be submitted online.
Program and Event categories will close on 7 February and Community Facilities on 5 April 2018. Their Quick Response Category remains open all year round (until budget exhausted).
Office for Recreation and Sport – Active Club
The Active Club Program is a great program that helps active recreation and sports clubs with program and equipment (up to $5,000) and facility upgrade requests up to $25,000. Their next round closes on 11 April.
