Volunteering

Build on your experiences

Is your playing career over or you just want to help out? Are you looking to build your skill set and resume for once you graduate? This is your chance to get involved!

AU Sport has a number of volunteering opportunities through events, clubs and Nationals Div 1 & Div 2.

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, providing pathways for your career and personal interests. It's also a great way to meet other people, boost your resume and give back to your University.

AU Sport values its volunteers and has a number of reward incentives in place, which vary between events. There are also a variety of sports awards for volunteers, which are presented at the annual Blues Awards held in November each year.

The University of Adelaide Graduate Award

The Adelaide Graduate Award is an employability development program available to all students, which will assist you in expanding your skills and extending yourself beyond your degree.

The Adelaide Graduate Award is designed to complement your studies without extending the time you spend at university, and you complete the Award independently according to your individual interests and goals.
The key components of the program involve undertaking work experience and volunteering, therefore it is especially beneficial for those who volunteer at Club level. You will also attend workshops, develop your resume and prepare a reflection piece at the end of the program.

Once complete, you will receive formal recognition and the Award will be added to your transcript.
