The Adelaide University Mountain Club (AUMC) is Adelaide's outdoor recreation and adventure club. We are an active and vibrant club at Adelaide University with over 200 members and 70 trips run last year alone. These trips are run for everyone from beginners to highly experienced members. The club offers members the opportunity to participate in exciting and challenging activities far removed from their usual study (or work) commitments. Core activities of the club include:

  • Bush walking
  • Rockclimbing and Mountaineering
  • Canoeing and Kayaking
  • Mountain Biking
  • Cross-Country Skiing
  • Rogaining, including the annual AUMC 24 Hour walk
  • Endurance and multi-sport events
  • Surfing, windsurfing, and kite boarding

Adelaide University Mountain Club led 32 members and one dog to Hallett Cove where we completed the Hallett Cove to Marion board walk. Just 20 minutes by train from the Adelaide CBD, the boardwalk is a great place to get a glimpse of the unique South Australian coastline and its native plants and animals.
