Re-Orientation kicked off with a first time Mount Lofty climb. AU Sport was joined by the AU Mountain Club and ISS (International Student Support) as well as 40+ brand new UofA International students. With weather looking glum, we braced ourselves and started the ascent up the Mount Lofty walking track. Luckily for the group, the rain eased and it turned out to be fantastic climbing weather.
In just over two hours, the group reached the peak, and the view was completely worth it! The students did not take long to take copious amounts of photos, and enjoy the beautiful Adelaide Plains landscape.
With the event being such a success, the AU Mountain Club will be looking to run more of these events in the future for our new students.
