The AU Motorsport Club was thrilled to reveal the team's first fully electric race-car, ADL-18e, at its launch event in November.
The club displayed a year's worth of hard work and dedication to sponsors, family, friends and University staff at the Sporting Car Club of South Australia headquarters.
The Club's Electric Vehicle will be raced at Winton Motor Raceway from 6 to 9 December for the Formula SAE-Australasia competition, competing against 35 other teams from around the world including 15 other electric cars.
The team's goal is to score points in all the dynamic events at the competition, a goal which entails the team passing the far stricter electrical pre-race scrutineering checks, and ensuring the car runs reliably enough to compete in every event.
The week will be challenging as being a first year electric team, the additional scrutineering has caused headaches to many teams in years prior.
