The Div 4 Youth League Men's team from Adelaide Uni put on a defensive clinic in their Grand Final against Southern Tigers.
Having only lost one game throughout the season, the Blacks were sure to put any opposition on their back foot, and their aggressive start ensured that they got out to a strong lead in the first quarter. They continued to pressure the ball, resulting in turnovers and easy baskets to stay ahead for the rest of the match. The Tigers gave an answer to the Blacks tough deference in the fourth quarter by sinking some 3-pointers, but it was too little too late.
The Blacks finished the match up 48 to 34, and while everyone contributed to the win in their own way, special mention must go to Harry Minear who lead scoring with a formidable 17 points. Well done to all the players who helped the team to get to the grand final and then to bring home the win.
The Division 2 Men's play in the Club's second Grand Final for the season on 28th February and are hoping to follow the lead of the Youth Men. Good luck and #backtheblacks!
